Mami Hariyama

Owner and Director of NY Dance Artistry - Hariyama Ballet. 

Dancer, Teacher, and Pianist.

Mami Hariyama was born in Osaka, Japan and has two main professional careers: ballet and piano. 

She trained and performed ballet in Osaka and was coached by ballet teachers from Vaganova Ballet.

At 15, she traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia to perform with The Leningrad State Ballet and also to Indianapolis, USA where she took lessons with Irina Kolpakova.

Mami moved to New York in 2003. 

She was the pianist for the International Ballet Competition USA twice which takes place every four years in Jackson Mississippi.

She also produced many performances in NYC and Japan. Presently her efforts are geared to "NY Dance Artistry - Hariyama Ballet" which celebrates 20th anniversary in 2025. Her students are also noticed in the competitions around the world and receiving medals and awards. 

Mami Hariyama was awarded  

​BEST TEACHER AWARD and BEST SCHOOL AWARD in 2020 from the Jewel Festival.
