Konstantin Kolotov (Russia)

Konstantin Kolotov was born in Novosibirsk, Russia to a family of professional ballet dancers and pedagogues. He received his training from Vaganova Ballet Academy in Novosibirsk, where he graduated with a Diploma with Honors as a Professional Ballet Dancer, with extensive study in all aspects of dance. He then danced at the Theatre of Opera and Ballet (Sverdlovsk, Russia), the Theatre of Contemporary Ballet directed by B. Eifman (St. Petersburg), St. Petersburg Classical Ballet Theatre, and St. Petersburg Academic Ballet Theatre under the guidance of Professor Askold Makarov.
In 1997, he received the title of Master of Stage. His repertoire includes Siegfried from Swan Lake, Albrecht in Giselle, the Cavalier in The Nutcracker, the Prince in both Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella, Basil in Don Quixote, various Pas de Deux including Paquita, Le Corsaire, Flames of Paris, and Spring Water, and many celebrated contemporary pieces.
Having performed all over the world and danced professionally for over 30 years, Mr. Kolotov has a wealth of experience and knowledge to pass on to his students. He is in demand as guest artist and master teacher throughout the United States, having worked with professional companies including and New Jersey Ballet. For many years, as an educator, Mr. Kolotov has had the opportunity to teach hundreds of students. By teaching classes, choreographing, and setting performances, he has earned respect along with a reputation for excellence.
