Selection
  Each Solo and Pas de Deux contestant will have a choice to participate either in
the full competition and try to win the Grand Prix award 
or can compete in just one dance category  (see table bellow).
Classical Variation, Neo-classical / Contemporary, Character dance, Stage acting.

Ensemble (2 dancers and more) will compete in one or more dance category
of classical dance, character dance, stage acting dance (see table bellow).

Solo contestants must be aged 7 to 23 to parcpicate in the Jewels Festival. 

How to apply
All participants need to send us a video of one dance (up to 2 min) and registration form.

Award
  All participants will receive a Participate diploma. ​​
Those contestants who attend a full workshop will receive an Achievement certificate for finishing all of the workshop of classical ballet, character and stage acting master classes.​​

Award (If your dancing in only one dance category) – Medal and Diploma
Overall Prize  (if your dancing in all dancing category requerement by the age division)– Trophy and Diploma
Grand Prix (if your dancing in all dancing category requerement by the age division) –
Trophy, Diploma and Cash prize

D'Antuono Prize - Awarded to a dancer chosen by our special guest
People choice award - Awarded to the best contenstant by the audience
Scholarships for summer programs will be presented by defferent ballet schools:

Throughout the competition the jury will evaluate a candidate’s potential as a dancer by considering:
Artistry and Soul
Presentation and Filling poses
Physical suitability
Courage and individuality
An imaginative and sensitive response to the music
A clear grasp in communicating differing movement dynamics
Technical facility, control, and coordination

RULES AND REGULATIONS 
​ ​​​All applications with payment are due on January 10th, 2020
We have to receive a participant’s compliance letter and music by February 1st, 2020.
Jewels Festival has the rights to refuse any application at its discretion.
Jewels Festival reserves the right to use any photo or video recording of the participants’ performances during the competition, Gala and exhibition for promotional purposes.
Video and pictures by phone or camera are prohibited during all Festival events

as there will be proffesional photographers and videographes at the Festival documenting the entire event.
There will be no refund of processed payments.
    ALL PAYMENTS must be made in US dollars.

Jewels Festival does not accept personal checks.

Jewels Festival competition is open for all dance students from 7 – 19 years old and young dancers ages 20 – 23 years old.
A participant’s age for the competition season is determined strictly as of January 1, 2020.
Participants may enter the competition representing a school or as an independent participant.
Participants may enter the competition as solo contestants, as part of an ensemble, or both.

All solo participants have a choice of performing in one or both of the following categories:
Classical Variation, Neo-classical / Contemporary Solo, Classical Pas de Deux, Neo-classical / Contemporary Duet, Classical Ensemble, Character dance, Folk dance.  

Participants who wish to perform Classical Pas de Deux must perform Entre, Adagio, Variations and Coda.
In order to comply with fire code regulations and security considerations, a maximum of 2 representatives per school (including teachers and school/studio directors) are allowed backstage - and only during OPEN STAGE! There will be no exceptions.
